If the nest looks huge, it is because it was an eagle nest last year.

Thanks, Mary. I have it up on my computer while I’m working. So peaceful to hear the drips and breezes in the background and periodically watch her marvelous stillness.

Carol, I’m afraid I can’t sign anyone up from my end. If your husband goes to my blog and clicks on “sign me up” he should be all set.

Hi Mary, thanks for the ‘ live view cam ” on the Great Horned Owl.
I pasted it to an e-mail for my cousin Timmy, whom teaches in Savannah Ga. & I am certain he will be familiar with Skidaway Island in his area…

I inferred from an email from Cornell Lab that this was meant to be an eagle cam but the nest was appropriated by the Great Horned Owls!

Already mentioned by Penny, above. I thought owls nested in tree cavities!

What fun, Mary. I didn’t hear the hoots, but I did catch a good-bye wink.
