The Bee’s Knees

baby bee brown IMG_4365Had to share the good news that my grandson Otis arrived. His bee-keeping mother announced him to the world with this photograph, which, of course, totally thrilled his maternal grandmother. Regular Naturally Curious posts should resume soon!

Mary how wonderful and congratulations to all. Otis is adorable and as a fellow beekeeper I appreciate the bee-themed outfit (and little hat). (This is the beginning of a long trend for Otis and Sadie, or should I see the ‘bee-ginning’. It took me a while to convince folks not to only and always get me bee-related gifts. Now that we are birding much more seriously the gift givers are all about birds…of course)

He’s adorable and I know you are in love and having a great time. The smell of those little babies, how precious.

may the gods of nature bless them all,

    best wishes Roseanne >

“here we see a fine example of a new born Human baby! Notice the closed eyes and sweet little nose. Although Human Babies CAN open their eyes, much of their first few weeks are spent in a constant cycle of eating and sleeping, simultaneously emitting endearing little mewling noises designed to draw their caregivers near and continue to feed and snuggle them, thereby meeting all the needs of a newborn mammal.”
