Naturally Curious Hiatus
Naturally Curious will be on hiatus for the next month or so due to a move I am making across the state of Vermont to the town of Shelburne. I will sorely miss the hills, fields, streams and woods of the Upper Valley, but look forward to making new discoveries in the Champlain Valley. (I’m hoping readers who live near my new abode will be as helpful in letting me know about local flora and fauna as those in the Upper Valley have been over the past 17 years!)
The Naturally Curious blog will resume as soon as I have settled and have a working computer. The timing of this move isn’t ideal, as there is so much happening this time of year that I would love to be out photographing and sharing with readers, but I look forward to being able to do that again in the very near future, hopefully in July. Thank you so much for your patience and support. Stay naturally curious and may the next month be filled with exciting discoveries! And please stay healthy. Mary, I grew up in Shelburne. How wonderful that you will be so close to Lake Champlain! The area is every bit as beautiful as the Upper Valley (as you know). Good luck with your move and I look forward to your future posts. Stay healthy.

All the best in this move! You will discover MANY new treasures, I know, including such as Shagbark Hickory around the area and the big old Sycamore in the village. Keep us all posted and be well!

Hello John,
I enjoy Mary’s posts and like the rest of us, will miss them for now. In your comments on her hiatus you mentioned the Sycamore tree in your area. I was raised in Sunderland, MA near the old Buttonball and enjoyed its magnificence. Perhaps it’s time for me to explore the area this summer to find more of them. Thank you for the “reminder”.
Lover of all trees,

Because you are Naturally Curious, I’m sure you’ll leave few stones unturned (carefully) in your new photography zone. May your move come with many silver linings. What a beautiful Lady Slipper. I’ve been in Vergennes, many times & walked quite a bit in that area. It’s pretty, with the ridges. All the best, stay well.
